Analyze an Essay Never Lonely Again by by Hans Wilhelm

Never Lonely Again by Hans Wilhelm presents a great story for children about a friendship named Chestnut and Morris who might have problems with the concept of friendship, and doesn’t have a lot of friends they think alone is better so they can do anything by themselves and they always feel lonely in any case. But that’s just a mistake. The plot is divided into three parts: the first is the solitude chestnut who thinks that he’s better doesn’t have friends, the second is a fun adventure about Chestnut and Morris, where Morris convinced Chestnut to play together, and the last is an adventure with Morris so they become friends. This story begins with Chestnut who wakes up in the morning to the realization that there really is no reason to get up, so he simply lays back down in hopes to go to sleep. This narrative technique is really positive and impressive for readers who have problems with friendship and can be a moral lesson for kids. This story followed by Chestnut and Morris, where’s the Chestnut a squirrel, a squirrel named Chestnut based on the name is Chestnut, chestnuts are squirrel food because chestnuts are identical to the squirrel. and based on the second story is ‘“.... of chestnuts tree”’ and only squirrels can live on the trees. Then, we can see from the shape of his body, he has a tail like a squirrel also has furs on his tails and two long-standing ears. Small body like a squirrel. Based on the cover picture.

And then Morris is an otter. because the otter loves the water and otter usually lives in water based on the story ‘“I love water!”’ said, Morris”.

Based on the second picture and the text ‘“.......... It was only Morris, the otter...”’  from here it has been seen he’s an otter.

Chestnut is a squirrel that doesn’t have friends and he feels lonely because he lives alone on the tree, he thinks that nothing is different on his day as usual so, he doesn’t want to wake up on his sunny morning based on the text below.

‘“I might as well keep on sleeping......”’ he thinks sleep is better more than play because he had no friends to play with. In the first plot, Chestnut met with Morris when he was sleeping and suddenly there is an otter that plays on his treehouse, he thinks that’s an earthquake ‘“An earthquake...’” Then he gets up he sees that’s not an earthquake but it’s Morry an otter he plays on the chestnut’s tree ‘“ But it was no earthquake. It was only Morris....’”

The second plot, Morris invited chestnut to play together with him, so he saw oddity of Morris when Morris put his face in the water he thinks that Morry is crazy ‘“Are you crazy.’” “Chestnut said furiously....” but instead Morris thinks that it is normal for a someone to do these for his best friend ‘“What’s the matter?...”’ ‘“Why can’t you come out and play...”’ when Morris convinced chestnut to play together but chestnut didn’t believe Morris because he thinks Morris can have a lot of friends ‘“ Then you must have hundreds of friends.....”’ but Morris is not giving up he embraced chestnut like he is a trusted friend for Chestnut. Then, Morris takes Chestnut to a garden filled with a lot of flowers. He hugs the flowers he said flowers also friends ‘“Look here! These are some friends!......”’ Chestnut felt that is only dumb flowers how can be friends ‘“But these are just dumb flowers! ......”’

Sometimes they play, they catch a butterfly, they caught a butterfly, pointed to a row of rocks and leading across the river and sometimes their play the water on the waterfall, up the hill, play with the wind until Chestnut laugh he was very happy ‘“Now Chestnut had to laugh....”  their play the wind till the coats were dry. Saw a sun together, visited apple tree and ate some apples. They watched the different clouds, sometimes explore the river.

And the last plot is an adventure with Morris so they become a friend. After a day of passing adventure finally, Chestnut felt he has a lot of new friends. This plot begins on page 13, at the time Chestnut and Morris explore the river where Morris is rowing and Chestnut hugging Morris with a smile and Chestnut asked ‘“Have you already made your new friend for the day.......”  ‘“No, I haven’t.......” ‘“..........But how about you? Would you like to be my new friend?”’ Chestnut liked that idea very much!....” They said they can’t wait to meet tomorrow morning. Chestnut felt happy because now he has a lot of friends like rabbits, bears, and raccoons from Morris friends. ‘“I’ll see you in the morning,”.... ‘“I still want you to meet my friends the bears.....” so, Chestnut went to bed with the smile he knows that there are friends waiting to play with him the next morning.

This story illustrates humans and how they’re daily. They can lay down like a human based on the first story ‘“One morning Chestnut stayed in bed longer than usual. He didn’t feel like getting up.”

They can play together as like on the 7 picture and 8 picture there are playing and catch a butterfly ‘“Now let’s try to catch a butterfly.”’

Use the towels and blankets based on 1 and 5 picture there is a Morris use a towels ‘“I think I know what your problem is...’” and ‘“Chestnut uses a blanket when he stayed in bed”.

Can hugging a flower based on 7 picture ‘“......and he jumped into the middle of a patch of flowers.”  The setting of this story is in the forest because there are a pond, river, garden, waterfall, and the hill, there are in one place but a different atmosphere.

And the the function of nature to the characters is like trees that give meaning to life just like a second picture, there is a Morris playing on the tree, ‘“But it was... the otter, who playing with a branch of Chestnut’s tree.”  he felt as happy as if the tree can make him alive. flowers and shining sun give meaning to the happiness of their friendship, ‘“Let’s lie down in the sun over there.....”’  And water that always gives peace, so they feel happy.

Never Lonely Again the short story with a visual text by Hans Wilhelm where this story explains about a squirrel who hasn’t some of the friends and not need friends in his life. He doesn’t care about the surrounding environment so he chose to be alone, but his mind was wrong there are many people outside who still care about him included Morris. He met Morris and he cames into his life then changed everything to be interesting. And when we read the title that’s meant to when someone feels enjoy in his world, so he realized that he needed friends. Then the theme is for young people and adults depression. The squirrel doesn’t want to get out of bed because he essentially thinks that he has nothing to live, that’s a very important lesson to learn at a young age because no matter what, there is always someone or something to go. We can see from the three separate plots. And the rising action of this story is when Morris cames hanging on the Chestnut tree and invited Chestnut to play together. We can see the climax of this story when Morris tried to convince Chestnut if he could be best friends. Finally, at the moments Chestnut realized and was convinced he was not alone in this world and their play together. And they made friends and an appointment if they will meet next in the morning.
