Another morning and I wake with thirst 

for the goodness I do not have. I walk

out to the pond and all the way God has

given us such beautiful lessons. Oh Lord, 

I was never a quick scholar but sulked 

and hunched over my books past the 

hour and the bell; grant me, in your 

mercy, a little more time. Love for the 

earth and love for you are having such a 

long conversation in my heart. Who 

knows what will finally happen or 

where I will be sent, yet already I have 

given a great many things away, expect-

ing to be told to pack nothing, except the 

prayers which, with this thirst, I am 

slowly learning.

the first stanza

The stanza above has a proud tone because it can be seen in the word ‘given us such beautiful lessons’ which means is she appreciates a thing that is around her. illustrates that when we wake up and thirst enters. There is always something we want, and we desire, which is somehow lost but we want to remain whole again. Often we don't really know what something is. which we might be able to accomplish but when we might sleep with satisfaction and wake up the next morning so we find another thirst. The thirst remains. but there are things we should know that God will always provide the best for us, then on the next stanza the speaker felt that his day was very different from before she said that he always thought of things that had passed so we can understand this stanza

I was never a quick scholar but sulked

That the stanza above has a sad tone because we can see the word ‘sulked’. which means that the question "why did she become a scholar too fast?.”

In the stanza is the speaker saying that she always converse in her heart so that there are many questions and answers that she can conclude herself and we can conclude that every beautiful thing in this world requires a subtle touch so that we can be grateful for its existence. So the tone from this stanza is desperate because of the word ‘sent’ the word sent in the sentence refers to the speaker who is hopeless to his life to the next so she said ‘Who knows what will finally happen or where I will be sent,’ and she surrenders her self to what had happened to his life and self.

The tone of that stanza is desperate because we can see from the word ‘expecting’ in the word expecting which means that he hopes that if there isn't anything she can give and complete with words ‘to be told to pack nothing, except the prayers which, with this thirst, I am slowly learning.’ except the prayer that he has prepared for what he has gotten. from that, he can learn well.

So, the dominant tone in this poem is desperate from the last stanza we can understand the speaker's feeling desperate she was desperate does not mean he gave up with all his more precisely she should be able to accept and be grateful for the things she experienced and she decided. And because this poem is more to despair.

The one who speaks in that poem is ' I '. In a word “I” which means that the speaker is a woman contained in the word ‘sulked’ because usually a woman will be easily upset but can not be expressed so that it always raises questions that are out of the head and will find his own answers when his mood improves. so the speaker in the poem is more specifically the woman who is desperate for the things as like the word ‘Who knows what will finally happen or where I will be sent,’ she decides just like her choosing a course in college based on the word ‘quick scholar’ that isn't within her ability and in too much of a hurry ‘with this thirst, I am slowly learning.’ to make a decision.

The issue of the poem is personality disorder because the poem is describing someone who feels chaotic in his decision so it always raises unreasonable questions as like stanza 4 line 1-5 ‘Who knows what will finally happen or where I will be sent, yet already I have’ questions that some people may have experienced but only in part. and this issue is often experienced by many people, especially us seekers of knowledge ‘hunched over my books past the hour and the bell;’ in the word “books” and ‘bell’ which refers to speakers having problems in education. I think that everyone has experienced this, either in terms of boring learning and etc, but this poem is interesting in my opinion that the speaker feels thirsty in terms of education.

The emperor's new groove is a Disney movie originating from America, telling about an arrogant emperor filled with three other main characters. Kuzro is an emperor who is always selfish and never thinks about his subordinates, which makes Yzma replace his position as an Emperor "With him out of the way and no heir to the throne, and I'll take over and rule the empire" [11:14] said Yzma. The video can be analyzed based on the two significant parts of the scenes.



The first part begins with the opening where Kuzco becomes an emperor and a llama, followed by the song an empire, followed by the scene where Kuzco wants to be killed by Yzma and Kronk, who intends to put a potion in Kuzco's drink "Oh, right. The poison." The poison for Kuzco, the poison specially chosen to kill Kuzco. Kuzco's Poison" [12:30] said Kronk. When Kronk managed to give the potion, Kuzco suddenly fainted, and they thought they had succeeded in destroying Kuzco. "Oh, they're so easy to make. I'll get you the recipe." said Kronk, and Yzma answered, "Now get rid of the body" because their guess was wrong, and it turned out that Kuzco didn't die but turned into a llama.



In this scene, a low-angle shot is used, which can be seen when Kronk is only prepared drinks and then very clear with a close-up focused on Kronk. The lighting in the scene was not too bright because they were in the room, and the atmosphere at that time was at night. Kronk and Yzma prepared dishes for Kuzco. It was evident that they were Kuzco's subordinates. Therefore, Kuzco, sitting in a unique chair, was apparent that he was an arrogant emperor.

 


In the second part, when the poison turns him into a llama, Kuzco meets Pacha, and, Kuzco accuses Pacha of having made him a llama who wants to kill him "I remember you. I remember telling you that I was building my pool where your house was, then you got mad at me. Oh! and you turned me into a llama." [25:16] Kuzco said. Therefore, Pacha told him it wasn't him who did it. However, Kuzco went to find a way home to return by heading towards the jungle. Pacha had said to him that too many jaguars and snakes were dangerous there. Kuzco still didn't listen to Pacha. When Kuzco reached the wilderness, he fell and saw a lot of jaguars sleeping soundly.

 

This scene looks a bit like using a Close-up shot because it is clear that Kuzco and the sleeping jaguar are visible. However, when Kuzco fell, it was seen using an Extreme long-shot where Kuzco was not visible, and only certain parts were visible. Kuzco dropped to see the sleeping jaguar in front of him Kuzco's face looked shocked and mixed with fear. Jaguar, who was fast asleep, did not hear what had happened. The atmosphere was so dark that the Jaguar could not be seen clearly. Pacha helped Kuzco a lot after he helped Kuzco a lot to return Kuzco to a human. 



Kuzco becomes an unselfish person and thinks of Pacha, including those around him. The change in the attitude of Kuzco, an arrogant emperor, into an emperor who is friendly with his surroundings is the meaning of the emperor's new groove.

Analyze an Essay Never Lonely Again by by Hans Wilhelm

Never Lonely Again by Hans Wilhelm presents a great story for children about a friendship named Chestnut and Morris who might have problems with the concept of friendship, and doesn’t have a lot of friends they think alone is better so they can do anything by themselves and they always feel lonely in any case. But that’s just a mistake. The plot is divided into three parts: the first is the solitude chestnut who thinks that he’s better doesn’t have friends, the second is a fun adventure about Chestnut and Morris, where Morris convinced Chestnut to play together, and the last is an adventure with Morris so they become friends. This story begins with Chestnut who wakes up in the morning to the realization that there really is no reason to get up, so he simply lays back down in hopes to go to sleep. This narrative technique is really positive and impressive for readers who have problems with friendship and can be a moral lesson for kids. This story followed by Chestnut and Morris, where’s the Chestnut a squirrel, a squirrel named Chestnut based on the name is Chestnut, chestnuts are squirrel food because chestnuts are identical to the squirrel. and based on the second story is ‘“.... of chestnuts tree”’ and only squirrels can live on the trees. Then, we can see from the shape of his body, he has a tail like a squirrel also has furs on his tails and two long-standing ears. Small body like a squirrel. Based on the cover picture.  

And then Morris is an otter. because the otter loves the water and otter usually lives in water based on the story ‘“I love water!”’ said, Morris”. 

Based on the second picture and the text ‘“.......... It was only Morris, the otter...”’  from here it has been seen he’s an otter.

Chestnut is a squirrel that doesn’t have friends and he feels lonely because he lives alone on the tree, he thinks that nothing is different on his day as usual so, he doesn’t want to wake up on his sunny morning based on the text below.

‘“I might as well keep on sleeping......”’ he thinks sleep is better more than play because he had no friends to play with. In the first plot, Chestnut met with Morris when he was sleeping and suddenly there is an otter that plays on his treehouse, he thinks that’s an earthquake ‘“An earthquake...’” Then he gets up he sees that’s not an earthquake but it’s Morry an otter he plays on the chestnut’s tree ‘“ But it was no earthquake. It was only Morris....’”

The second plot, Morris invited chestnut to play together with him, so he saw oddity of Morris when Morris put his face in the water he thinks that Morry is crazy ‘“Are you crazy.’” “Chestnut said furiously....” but instead Morris thinks that it is normal for a someone to do these for his best friend ‘“What’s the matter?...”’ ‘“Why can’t you come out and play...”’ when Morris convinced chestnut to play together but chestnut didn’t believe Morris because he thinks Morris can have a lot of friends ‘“ Then you must have hundreds of friends.....”’ but Morris is not giving up he embraced chestnut like he is a trusted friend for Chestnut. Then, Morris takes Chestnut to a garden filled with a lot of flowers. He hugs the flowers he said flowers also friends ‘“Look here! These are some friends!......”’ Chestnut felt that is only dumb flowers how can be friends ‘“But these are just dumb flowers! ......”’

Sometimes they play, they catch a butterfly, they caught a butterfly, pointed to a row of rocks and leading across the river and sometimes their play the water on the waterfall, up the hill, play with the wind until Chestnut laugh he was very happy ‘“Now Chestnut had to laugh....”  their play the wind till the coats were dry. Saw a sun together, visited apple tree and ate some apples. They watched the different clouds, sometimes explore the river.


And the last plot is an adventure with Morris so they become a friend. After a day of passing adventure finally, Chestnut felt he has a lot of new friends. This plot begins on page 13, at the time Chestnut and Morris explore the river where Morris is rowing and Chestnut hugging Morris with a smile and Chestnut asked ‘“Have you already made your new friend for the day.......”  ‘“No, I haven’t.......” ‘“..........But how about you? Would you like to be my new friend?”’ Chestnut liked that idea very much!....” They said they can’t wait to meet tomorrow morning. Chestnut felt happy because now he has a lot of friends like rabbits, bears, and raccoons from Morris friends. ‘“I’ll see you in the morning,”.... ‘“I still want you to meet my friends the bears.....” so, Chestnut went to bed with the smile he knows that there are friends waiting to play with him the next morning.

This story illustrates humans and how they’re daily. They can lay down like a human based on the first story ‘“One morning Chestnut stayed in bed longer than usual. He didn’t feel like getting up.”

They can play together as like on the 7 picture and 8 picture there are playing and catch a butterfly ‘“Now let’s try to catch a butterfly.”’

Use the towels and blankets based on 1 and 5 picture there is a Morris use a towels ‘“I think I know what your problem is...’” and ‘“Chestnut uses a blanket when he stayed in bed”.

Can hugging a flower based on 7 picture ‘“......and he jumped into the middle of a patch of flowers.”  The setting of this story is in the forest because there are a pond, river, garden, waterfall, and the hill, there are in one place but a different atmosphere. 

And the the function of nature to the characters is like trees that give meaning to life just like a second picture, there is a Morris playing on the tree, ‘“But it was... the otter, who playing with a branch of Chestnut’s tree.”  he felt as happy as if the tree can make him alive. flowers and shining sun give meaning to the happiness of their friendship, ‘“Let’s lie down in the sun over there.....”’  And water that always gives peace, so they feel happy.

Never Lonely Again the short story with a visual text by Hans Wilhelm where this story explains about a squirrel who hasn’t some of the friends and not need friends in his life. He doesn’t care about the surrounding environment so he chose to be alone, but his mind was wrong there are many people outside who still care about him included Morris. He met Morris and he cames into his life then changed everything to be interesting. And when we read the title that’s meant to when someone feels enjoy in his world, so he realized that he needed friends. Then the theme is for young people and adults depression. The squirrel doesn’t want to get out of bed because he essentially thinks that he has nothing to live, that’s a very important lesson to learn at a young age because no matter what, there is always someone or something to go. We can see from the three separate plots. And the rising action of this story is when Morris cames hanging on the Chestnut tree and invited Chestnut to play together. We can see the climax of this story when Morris tried to convince Chestnut if he could be best friends. Finally, at the moments Chestnut realized and was convinced he was not alone in this world and their play together. And they made friends and an appointment if they will meet next in the morning.

Review novel Origin - Dan Brown

I am an the type of woman who is very lazy to read.
Moreover, reading a novel whose plot must have been guessed and its ending. So every time I choose a novel or story book I choose first choose which one is suitable for the type of person similar like me. And finally I tried to choose one of the novels dan brown. In 2017, I read many reviews that said this novel was very good and finally I was curious I tried to buy it in one of the online shops in Indonesia. At a price of $ 20.00 with a very thick cover and there is a biography of the author behind it. I happened to buy the English version, there was an Indonesian version.

And at the beginning of the opening of this novel. This novel explains several facts namely Art, Architecture, location, science, religious organization. So that's what makes us always wonder what kind of novel this will continue. This story makes me especially readers feel unstable emotions such as curiosity, anxiety, annoyance, and moreover, oh this is anyway. Oh so here's the story. What I dislike the most about this novel is the many scientific words that are difficult for me to understand and finally I search again. And on the one hand there are things that make me like that there are some words that can damage the faith of some scenes namely a question where are we Going? Page 87
But unfortunately not shown to the reader about the truth. At the beginning of the prologue, this novel tells about Robert Langdon, a professor from Harvard University who traveled in the Spanish city in several museums, Guggenheim Meseum bilbao.

Edmond Kirsch is a futurist and computer geek who is famous for his controversial findings, supposedly predicting several things that over time prove the truth. And it turns out that Kirsch is someone who is an atheist like the logo below. Page 28

Kirsch also broadcast his findings to the world via live streaming which of course is assisted by Winston. And what amazed me from some parts of this scene was when I understood that Winston was a computer and his real name was art.

So this Winston or art is a computer but only the voice can be heard through the headset. Kirsch wanted to maximize the effect of each of his words, which he said could shake the basis of any religious belief. But it had not yet arrived at the core of the long-awaited answer, Kirsch was shot by Admiral Avila, whose name was most recently registered by Ambra Vidal, director of the Guggenheim Museum, event organizer, as well as the fiance of the Prince of Spain, Julian. Kirsch was shot.
In chapter 16 
Allamah al-Fadl was found dead. But Valdespino thought that al-Fadl killed himself. In my opinion, from the beginning it was thought who the killer was.  And even when Kirsch was killed I guessed that the killer was Avila, the evil king of Spain.

But unfortunately many of them thought Langdon was the murderer. According to the story I read, this Avila killed kirsch because he wanted revenge. At the end of Langdon's story, Langdon was accompanied by a woman on his adventure to solve the problem. And I feel motivated in this story and a few words at the beginning, i.e.
From this story I can understand what is atheist and what is agnostic.  I can know that there are many religions besides Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism and Christianity ...

"Girl"-Jamaica kinacaid

Hello ladies for theme this time I will tell you a little about women!

Yes that's right. Novel of Jamaica kinacaid contains about short story one of them is girl

I like this story because it tells about the life of a woman, how to be a woman indeed who always do the activity in his house based on the text "wash the white clothes on Monday and put them on the stone heap" ..

And this story is very motivating for me as a woman who sometimes likes to laze around every day off after working for one full week. That woman needs rest but there are things that should be done.

"Girl" is a short story written by Jamaica Kincaid that was included in At the Bottom of the River (1983). It appeared in the June 26, 1978 issue of The New Yorker.

The conflict in “Girl” is that of parenting vs the environment.
The narrator of the text is a mother giving advice to her daughter. The mother is concerned for the daughter because she believes that the daughter may grow up to be a slut because of the social pressures put on her. This is supported by the lines “on Sundays try to walk like a lady and not like the slut you are so bent on becoming,” “you mustn’t speak to wharf-rat boys,” and “don’t squat down to play marbles,” (74). These lines suggest that by interacting with boys and not being pious will lead the daughter down the path to becoming a slut.
The persistent latent anger and scorn that a mother has for her daughter throughout the text also shows that if scolding like this continues, the girl might end up hating her mother and become a prostitute out of spite.
The last line of this text is also full of metaphorics and symbolism.
The scenario of a girl being denied the ability to touch bread symbolizes that the girl has become a social outcast because she is a prostitute.
Kincaid makes the words "feel" and "squeeze" sexually making the act of buying bread into a flirtatious act and refusal to touch bread is a metaphor for sexual advances being rebuked.
This text reminds me of "Barbie Doll" by Marge Piercy. Both texts must deal with young women who grow up in an oppressive environment and must deal with social pressures that seek to change them. "Girl" has to deal with a girl who is scolded by her mother for being a prostitute and "Barbie Doll" has to deal with a young girl who cuts her nose and legs because of intimidation.
I think Marge Piercy would think this text is somewhat parallel with hers because in every text, the two young women have to deal with social pressures that try to change it.
The only exception is that the Kincaid story does not tell the end result of whether the girl is a prostitute or not.

Point of view is the manner in which a story is narrated or depicted and who it is that tells
the story. Simply put, the point of view determines the angle and perception of the story unfolding, and
thus influences the tone in which the story takes place.
— first person POV - from a character’s view; uses “I” and “me”
— second person POV - speaking directly to reader; uses “you”; least common
— third person POV - from a narrator; can be limited to one character’s perspective or omniscient in
which the narrator knows all.

for you ladies I recommend read this. because this short story is really good even though we have to be able to understand the means of this text.

Wash the white clothes on Monday and put them on the stone heap; wash the color
clothes on Tuesday and put them on the clothesline to dry; don’t walk bare-head in the hot
sun; cook pumpkin fritters in very hot sweet oil; soak your little cloths right after you take
them off; when buying cotton to make yourself a nice blouse, be sure that it doesn’t have gum
in it, because that way it won’t hold up well after a wash; soak salt fish overnight before you
cook it; is it true that you sing benna in Sunday school?; always eat your food in such a way
that it won’t turn someone else’s stomach; on Sundays try to walk like a lady and not like the
slut you are so bent on becoming; don’t sing benna in Sunday school; you mustn’t speak to
wharf-rat boys, not even to give directions; don’t eat fruits on the street—flies will follow you;
but I don’t sing benna on Sundays at all and never in Sunday school; this is how to sew on a button;
this is how to make a buttonhole for the button you have just sewed on; this is how to hem a
dress when you see the hem coming down and so to prevent yourself from looking like the
slut I know you are so bent on becoming; this is how you iron your father’s khaki shirt so that
it doesn’t have a crease; this is how you iron your father’s khaki pants so that they don’t have
a crease; this is how you grow okra—far from the house, because okra tree harbors red ants;
when you are growing dasheen, make sure it gets plenty of water or else it makes your throat
itch when you are eating it; this is how you sweep a corner; this is how you sweep a whole
house; this is how you sweep a yard; this is how you smile to someone you don’t like too
much; this is how you smile to someone you don’t like at all; this is how you smile to
someone you like completely; this is how you set a table for tea; this is how you set a table for

make a good medicine to throw away a child before it even becomes a child; this is how to
catch a fish; this is how to throw back a fish you don’t like, and that way something bad won’t
fall on you; this is how to bully a man; this is how a man bullies you; this is how to love a
man, and if this doesn’t work there are other ways, and if they don’t work don’t feel too bad
about giving up; this is how to spit up in the air if you feel like it, and this is how to move
quick so that it doesn’t fall on you; this is how to make ends meet; always squeeze bread to
make sure it’s fresh; but what if the baker won’t let me feel the bread?; you mean to say that after all
you are really going to be the kind of woman who the baker won’t let near the bread?.
So in a way, this ending continues for Mom's lessons. People like promiscuous girls and wharf-rat boys are outside of society. No one interacts with them, so it makes sense that they wouldn't be allowed to interact with people and do everyday things. One thing that a promiscuous girl would definitely not be allowed to do is squeeze bread like an upstanding young lady, because her dirty hands would taint the bread. Obviously

There is also another possible interpretation of the end. Let's say that Mom and Girl have a bit of a "failure to communicate." Mom talks more at Girl than to her, and she seems to totally ignore Girl. But to Mom, it seems like Girl is totally missing the point. If she follows all of Mom's advice, then obviously the baker will let her squeeze the bread. It's all connected: what seems like a totally random list of advice is actually summed up by this: be the kind of woman who gets to squeeze the bread.
